Get Ready for the 6th Real Beef by Real Cowboys this year to be held at Anna Ranch Heritage Center in Waimea on August 14th. This is a beef tasting event to raise money for the HCA Education Scholarship Fund and Anna Ranch Heritage Center’s educational programs. This year’s event promises to be bigger and better and you’ll want to make sure to attend. Tickets are on sale now and it is suggested to get your tickets early for this popular event.

Ten ranches will be participating this year and will be showing off by cooking up their best and favorite beef recipes. Also, to tempt your palette, Tropical Dreams will serve up their locally-churned ice cream, Alvin Wakayama from Kamuela Liquor Store will serve up an amazing array of beers and wines, The Onaka family of Kona will offer a sampling of their locally grown coffee, and the Sandwich Island Bread Company will be on site with delicious, locally baked bread. And of course this event would not be complete without the beautiful saloon girls and their trays of whiskey shots! While “grazing” the delicious offerings, guests will be entertained by well known musician Carly Smith playing a warm mix of country and bluegrass.

To bolster our fundraising efforts, Peter Merriman has generously offered to cook a dinner for eight to be served in the formal dining room of Anna’s Historic Home, available to the lucky bidder at the Real Beef’s silent auction. The winner and friends will be awarded a truly unique and exclusive opportunity to experience a gracious evening in elegant Old Hawaii style- complete with world-class cuisine! Other auction items include a beautiful handmade quilt that is being donated by the Anuenue Quilters of North Hawaii and art by local artists.

Tickets are $40 in advance and $45 at the door. In Waimea tickets can be purchased at: Anna Ranch (call 885-4426), Parker Ranch Store, Kamuela Liquor Store, R.R. Olson/Lextron, or Walco (in Kawaihae). Tickets will be available right up until the event and will also be available at the door.
